No Limitations: Stories, Play, Kinder, School

Building on the strengths of the No Limitations Guide for Early Years Educators, Women’s Heath East developed an online series to support parents and carers to promote gender equality.

No Limitations: Stories, Play, Kinder, School was developed over July-August 2020 in the context of the Covid-19 health crisis and recognised the increased pressures on families with young children at home. The series aimed to support parents and carers in promoting gender equality in the early years, by sharing practical ways to challenge gender stereotypes through stories and play and showing how gender equality is promoted in early years education and schools through Respectful Relationships.

The series featured presentations from Nelly Thomas (comedian and author), Level Playground (EDVOS), a teacher from Birralee Primary school, Doncaster and a presenter from the Department of Educations and Training’s Respectful Relationships program.

Sessions were funded by City of Manningham Council and brought together more than 100 carers, parents and early years sector workers. A copy of the presentation slides is available below.
