Women’s Health East launches new sexual and reproductive health strategy for Melbourne’s east
Women’s Health East has launched A Strategy for Equality: Sexual and Reproductive Health in Melbourne’s East 2026-31, setting out a roadmap to improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes across the region.
Developed through community consultation, local data and sector engagement, the strategy highlights the barriers many people face in accessing timely, affordable and appropriate care, including cost, workforce shortages, limited service availability, transport challenges and inequitable access across different communities.
The strategy outlines a coordinated approach to strengthening sexual and reproductive health services, improving health literacy, advancing equity and ensuring everyone can access the care, information and support they need throughout their lives.
