Together for Equality and Respect
Together for Equality and Respect is a strong regional partnership that brings organisations across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs together to drive gender equality and prevent gender-based violence. Convened by Women’s Health East, the partnership includes local councils, health services and community organisations that are committed to creating safer, fairer communities for women and girls.
Partners take practical action to challenge the attitudes, behaviours and systems that lead to gender inequality and violence. This includes changing workplace policies, building the skills of local leaders and professionals, and running community initiatives that promote respect and equality. By working together across the region, Together for Equality and Respect is helping create lasting change so women and girls can live safe, healthy and equal lives.
