Health education in language
Language barriers, limited health literacy, cultural stigma and a lack of trust in services can make it difficult for women from migrant and refugee communities to access cancer screening, chronic disease prevention programs and other essential health services.
We team up with grassroots organisations and community leaders to help ensure women have access to the information, support and services they need to stay healthy.
Our bicultural team delivers culturally safe health education in trusted community settings, helping women learn about topics such as cancer screening, chronic disease prevention, sexual and reproductive health and mental wellbeing.
Delivered in-language and tailored to each community, these sessions create opportunities for women to ask questions, share experiences, build confidence and connect with local services.
We provide culturally responsive mental health and wellbeing programs that recognise the unique challenges migrant and refugee women face. Working with community groups and local organisations, we create safe spaces where women can connect, reduce isolation and access support. Topics include parenting, relationships, financial wellbeing, mental health and navigating life in a new country.
By listening to communities and responding to their needs, we help ensure women can access support that is relevant, trusted and effective.
